September 2020 - Start der Softwareprogrammierung

September 2020 - Start of the software programming

On September 8th, a digital meeting was held with the project partners to discuss the status of the project, the planned workshops in the case study areas and the next steps. On the same day, the digital kick-off meeting with the programming company took place so that the programming of the MARISCO software can start as planned.

On September 29, the German Federal Foundation for the Environment (DBU) organized a digital kick-off workshop of the Nexus project 'Sustainability dilemmas using the example of the Water-Energy-Food-Nexus', where different projects with the topic of water were presented and exchanged. The project 'Development and testing of a digital participatory-adaptive methodology for an ecosystem-based risk management of groundwater and surface waters' - in short 'MARISCO 2.0 + Software' - was also presented.

For the software, the basic functions are now being developed in work package 1, which allow the user to create an account, create projects and collaborate with others. Work package 1 also includes the development of the predefined steps of phases I to IV of the MARISCO methodology. By November, a fully functional tech-demo will be created on a test website covering all basic functions.
